Campaign “Woman is a fragile flower”

The Khmelnytsky Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" has a fruitful representation of the global women's organization "Project Kesher". The organization's projects and actions aimed at protecting women's rights, increasing the legal literacy of the beautiful half of humanity, caring for the state of the body through the project "Women's Health. Combating Breast and Cervical Cancer" and much more are widely known in the city and region. "16 Days Without Violence" is another action that took place in our city by the "Project Kesher".

Information activities among women are carried out with the aim of improving their legal knowledge, awakening the forces of the weaker sex against tyranny and aggression from men. Unfortunately, very often it is men who cause the most problems: hormones, complexes, wrong or archaic views on relations between the two sexes turn men into tyrants. But loving, weak and gentle women cannot always adequately resist. And in vain, because both the Law and the activity of public organizations are able to tame even the most jealous man. And the main thing here is the desire of the woman herself.

The global campaign "16 Days of Activism against Violence" aims to draw public attention to women's issues. After all, violence is considered not only physical, but also moral, economic and many other subspecies of this negative social phenomenon. The head of the Kesher Project in Khmelnytskyi region, Iryna Gerasymenyuk, and the activist of the Women's Group of the Kesher Project, Tamara Kitsak, have held relevant campaigns, meetings with women, lectures and events every year that fit into the context of the idea of combating violence against women. And this year's campaign was also joined by girls from the youth wing of the Kesher Hadash organization led by Olga Nikitina.

The campaign included several propaganda activities. The activity “This Hand Will Never Hit” was aimed at men. Anyone who wanted to could take part in tracing their palm on pieces of paper. Then, the handprint could be signed with their own name to be a role model for others. “A woman is like a fragile flower – don’t ruin her with your attitude!” was the slogan of another, no less creative event. Lectures for girls and women on combating violence were held in the visual arts studio of the “Thia” Community Center, and their participants made paper flowers with candies inside. The combination of the pleasant and the useful gave a good result: the “Kesher Hadash” activists simply handed out the flowers made by women to male passers-by in the very center of our city, drawing their attention to the issues of eradicating violence against women. We are convinced that those who received a flower with a candie will never hurt any woman, remembering this unusual campaign.

Artist Yulia Cherveniuk, whose exhibition is being held at the Thiia Community Center, also joined the "16 Days Without Violence." The artist's works directly reflect the beauty and fragility of women.
