An interesting testimony is given about the deplorable behavior of the Roosevelt administration towards the Jews during World War II. Secretary of State Colin Powell posthumously praised the "constructive protest" of Hiram Bingham IV. For more than 50 years, the US State Department has prevented any attempt to honor Bingham.
