A 2020 report on anti-Semitism in Ukraine has been published. According to the United Jewish Community of Ukraine in the report, 49 cases of anti-Semitism were recorded last year, as well as cases that could be perceived as anti-Semitism but were not.
The overall amount of anti-Semitism is negligible. The EYOU says the level of anti-Semitism last year remained unchanged compared to 2019. The proportion of domestic anti-Semitism has also not increased, even when taking into account social Tensions surrounding the pilgrimage of Bratslav Hasidim during the pandemic COVID-19, created by the ex-mayor of Uman for political reasons.
However, the number of manifestations of anti-Semitism on social networks has increased. There have been five cases of physical violence: in Vinnytsia, Mariupol, two in Uman, and one more near Berdyansk.
