Various social and cultural programs of the Khmelnytsky Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" intersect quite often. The policy of the organization's management is aimed at the closest possible cooperation and mutual penetration of different areas of work, which leads to better cooperation, teamwork or more effective assistance. And this time we will talk about the intersection of the Child Development Center with the Day Care Center: diametrically opposite groups of the Foundation's clients (the youngest and oldest) met at a joint event.
Events for the elderly who visit the Day Development Center are held mainly in the afternoon. That is why the program for the youngest clients was scheduled for 4:00 p.m. This gave the elderly an additional reason to get together, chat, and relax, enjoying the contemplation of children's successes. The young "stars" had the opportunity to calmly complete their school studies and prepare for the "gala concert" as best they could.
The meeting of generations had an important cultural significance. For people whose established aesthetic norms are reduced to traditional forms of art, getting acquainted with the latest trends in youth creativity was novel, and perhaps even shocking. The children did a great job. The concert was opened by our young "star" Katya Kazanina-Aleynik. Her voice enchants and delights everyone without exception, the repertoire consists of solo songs by famous performers, as well as songs in Hebrew and Yiddish. In addition to performances at community events, Katya confidently walks the stage, performing at city events and on local television.
Modern dances, with their dizzying movements and fast rhythms, may not be fully understood by people of respectable age. But the skill, plasticity and grace with which our children perform complex movements are understandable to everyone. Nastya Litvinchuk impressed the audience with a dance in the style of "Hip-Hop", and Sabina Shopnik - with a dance number in the direction of "Jah-Funk". The youngest participants of the concert, namely Zhenya Kuzmich, Ilya Nesterenko and David Vedmedenko, presented the audience with poetic lines with wishes of happiness, goodness and harmony.
The performance of the Nikitin family duet was also significant. Olga Nikitina takes care of the Day Development Center of the Hesed Besht Foundation. She is a representative of a new generation of qualified social workers, with her own methods and approaches to the matter. In a duet with her mother, a volunteer of the Foundation, Margarita Rudolfovna, they performed a number of well-known and recognizable songs. This performance fit well into the concept of the evening - a meeting of different generations united by one common goal. By the way, the host of the concert was another, the youngest, representative of the Nikitin family - a volunteer of the Foundation and an activist of the Jewish youth movement, Oleksiy.
Diversifying the leisure activities of the participants of the Day Development Center, the possibility of creative realization of the students of the Child Development Center, and the combination of these areas together characterize the comprehensive approach of the employees of the Hesed Besht Foundation to working with clients.
