On Thursday, April 29, the entire dancing world will celebrate International Dance Day. This is a professional holiday for choreographers, ballet dancers, modern ballroom and folk dance groups, as well as amateur dancers.
Despite the busy schedule of the managers of the Hesed Besht Children’s Charity Foundation, they still found time to learn the Israeli dance “Hora Hadera.” Hora means “circle,” and Hadera means a city in Israel, which translates to “green river.” Apparently, this round dance originated in that green marshy area. The dance is quite popular in Eretz Israel and beyond.
It is a pity that we cannot organize a concert and present this and many other numbers to the audience. But we did everything so that social media users could see and appreciate the dance performed by Hesed employees. Our initiative also caused a lively response among television professionals - several local TV channels filmed reports about it.
We would like to congratulate the leader and choreographer of our volunteer dance group "Golden Years", Honored Worker of Culture, winner of the Bogdan Khmelnytskyi Prize Arkady Voloshyn, and the amateur artists of this group on their professional holiday. They have adorned our concerts with their performances and, we hope, will soon resume rehearsals to delight fans with their masterpieces.
