Our greatest celebration, Shabbat, we celebrate 52 times a year, and very often in the community, because celebrating all Jewish holidays together has become our unbreakable tradition.
“G-d said to Moses: there is a precious gift in My treasury, and this is the Sabbath, and I desire to give it to Israel.” It was with this quote from the Gemara that our Shabbat on August 13 began. We met it spiritually, cheerfully, and in compliance with all the traditions of the holiday: lighting candles, blessing wine and challah. We took Jewish mays from the book of Hasidic parables. There are a lot of interesting and instructive stories. And the songs were traditional, Sabbath songs - Lecha dodi and Ose shalom. There were also unique Jewish songs performed by Anatoly Music and recorded melodies.
Shared joy, contrary to the laws of mathematics, does not decrease, but increases many times over, so no one in the hall was bored.
The Sabbath lifts us above the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The spiritual value of that day and its special aroma extend beyond everyday life, for it is from the Sabbath that our everyday lives draw their holiness and exaltation.
Wishing each other a bright and peaceful Sabbath, we parted ways. We will meet again next Shabbat, August 27.
