The coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot. But life goes on, we adapt to new realities as best we can. Meetings in the Zoom, online broadcasts of Jewish holidays, concerts, Hebrew lessons, and even sports activities and other events.

The disease still holds us captive, and none of the doctors and seers can say for sure when it will recede. And if the corona has a mild course in young people, then it is needless to say that it mows down older people. It is with this aim in mind that they meet, maintain relationships and at the same time avoid unnecessary risks, the Hesed Besht Foundation, together with the Jerusalem office of the Joint, developed the project “Let's connect!”. Its essence is that each project participant was given free smartphones, “flashed” specifically for their online meetings. Such phones simplify connection as much as possible. After the training, the project participants will communicate twice a week according to a specially developed schedule with the Hesed manager, invited lecturers and among themselves in the group.

The gift set includes not only a smartphone and detailed, easy-to-understand instructions, but also a notebook for notes, a beautiful cup with the project logo, and a bag of herbal tea, lovingly collected by members of the Mandragora club of the Ternopil branch of Hesed.

Such kits were received by project participants in all our regions. From now on, people 67+ will be able to meet often and spend their leisure time interestingly without leaving their apartments.
