Internally displaced persons are another category we pay great attention to. Yesterday we visited the part of the refugees who are settled in the Yagoda-Malyna recreation complex in the village of Golovchyntsi. They are well off there – they have full comfort, three meals a day, silence and wonderful nature all around. But it is sad. And there is no entertainment, except for TV and communication. And when they get together, the conversations revolve around what they have experienced: the terrible memories of the war will not be erased from their memory for a long time.
We came with a pleasant visit. First, we satisfied their needs in various things. Second, we took them on a tour to Medzhibizh to the grave of the righteous Baal Shem Tov and showed them the holy places of this former Jewish town. For the vast majority, the town itself, which became world famous due to the fact that he lived, worked and founded the teachings of Hasidism there, was a great discovery.
And then there was a concert. First, our managers Halyna Gilberg and Anatoliy Muzyka performed a program of bardic and Jewish songs, then we showed a recorded fragment of a film about our dance group "Golden Years". And the concert was ended by one of the displaced people from Luhansk, Ihor Zaprudsky, who very skillfully performed two songs, accompanying himself on the guitar. And he caused a storm of applause. We talked to people as best we could, comforted and reassured them. Because in each of their eyes we read a silent question: what lies ahead?
We wish them a speedy return home to their surviving or renovated (or rebuilt) homes, to their native land, cleansed of foreigners and the filth they left behind.
