As part of the celebration of Pesach, an educational Seder was held within the walls of our Jewish home for participants of the women's group of the Hesed Besht Jewish Community Foundation.
Everything happened in order, in fact, it is precisely “order” that the Hebrew word “seder” means in translation. We lit candles and read prayers, according to the stages of the Haggadah, we did everything that every Jew should do at the Pesach table: we listened to the story of the Exodus, drank 4 glasses of grape juice, tasted karpas, bitter herbs, zroa and everything that was on the kear, of course, we talked about what each product means, what exactly is the symbolism of each of them in Jewish history. Then, like children, we rejoiced at the found afikoman. We also watched an educational video and held an active movement “Pesach Crocodile”.
We ended the meeting with a shared meal: the matzo dishes prepared by our wonderful hostesses were so delicious!
Passover 2026 reminded us once again that freedom begins within, and that the support of friends and loyalty to tradition make any journey easier. From the big city to the small village, we once again felt like one free family. Happy Passover!
