"Intellectual patronage" is an innovative service of the Hesed Besht Foundation from the Center for Rehabilitation and Regional Development, which was introduced in 2012. Time has passed and the advantages of the implemented program have fully justified themselves! People who received intellectual patronage have noticeably lifted their spirits, enriched themselves morally and spiritually. Therefore, in 2014, the program moves to a new level, uniting the foundation's clients into an intellectual club.
The club is led by Oleksandra Baeva, an intellectual patronage worker of the Hesed Besht Jewish Cultural Foundation. She was the first intellectual patronage worker in Khmelnytskyi. From there, the service spread to other branches of the Foundation in Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil regions. For the first meeting of the club, Oleksandra Baeva prepared an interesting educational program about famous Jewish artists who lived and worked in Proskurov.
The meeting of the intellectual club was held in the interactive Museum of Jewish Life of the Thiya Community Center. The atmosphere of this room always has a positive effect on visitors. It successfully combines the warmth of family comfort and the richness of Jewish cultural tradition. Oleksandra Baeva admitted that she was a little nervous the first time. After all, until now she had dealt with each client individually. But with everyone together - it was something unknown. But the excitement quickly gave way to delight in the good topic of conversation, sincere and grateful smiles of the people who gathered for the club meeting.
