Visitors to the Shalva needlework club, led by customer service manager Tamara Kitsak, not only engage in creativity, but also have an emotional rest. Psychologists say that it is creativity that is able to fully reflect a person's inner world. The emotions that a person experiences may be hidden on their face, but are clearly read in paintings, traced in poems or music. This is exactly what the club members did at the last session.

Psycho-emotional drawing is not a new technique, but it is extremely effective. In 2011, all employees of the Hesed Besht Foundation, at the initiative of Director Igor Ratushny, underwent training in this technique in order to understand themselves in detail and their attitude to working with people. Today, psycho-emotional drawing has become available to the Foundation’s clients – members of the Shalva club.

You don’t need to do any special exercises, and you don’t need any artist skills either. All you need is a brush, paints, paper and… honesty! Honesty with yourself. For the best results, a person must be completely open and realistic about their problems, experiences, joys or successes. In this way, the paint itself falls on the paper, creating abstract patterns and colorful color flows.

The group of women took on the task with enthusiasm. Most of them used green in their “paintings” with a variety of shades, which indicates a readiness for change and a desire for spring. The activity gave them vigor, and this is one of the main tasks of creativity.
