Director Ihor Ratushny spoke to the staff of the Khmelnytsky Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" and commented on the current situation in Ukraine. He also clearly outlined the areas of work and instructions that the organization's managers should follow when working with clients.

According to Igor Ratushny, the situation in the country is alarming. Now there is no certainty about the future, so the policy of the Hesed Besht Charity Fund will undergo certain changes. All efforts will now be directed at relieving the social tension that exists among clients. “Under any conditions, our Fund will fulfill its main humanitarian mission,” said Igor Oleksandrovych. “Programs aimed at providing clients with food and medicines will be promising.”

The management of the Joint Distribution Committee decided to send a group of experienced psychologists to our region. The specialists worked in hot spots, in places where hostilities are taking place. Their experience will be in significant demand among clients who are currently in a state of stress. It is worth noting that some members of the Jewish community took an active part in the state-building processes of Ukraine, both at the local and national levels. One youth representative even received significant injuries on the day of the sniper shooting of demonstrators on Instytutska Street in the capital. Currently, the lives of the clients are not in danger, and responsible managers are taking care of their health issues.

Igor Oleksandrovych also emphasized that the Fund is moving into a state of austerity until the situation in the country normalizes. Mass and entertainment events will also be reduced in connection with the mourning days celebrated by citizens of Ukraine. Security measures will be strengthened. The organization's curators are mobilizing activities to call clients and visit their homes. At the same time, the director of the Hesed Besht Charity Fund reminded that the Fund as a whole and its office always remain open to people. If people need to talk, need reassurance, they can always turn to Hesed, where they will never be refused.

Finally, Igor Ratushny called on everyone, both clients and employees, to remain calm. Escalation of the conflict, provocations, and demoralization can only do harm, so everyone needs to have warm hearts but keep cool heads.
