Digitalization of home care: modern technologies for effective work

In the modern world, technology plays a key role in simplifying work processes. That is why we are implementing an innovative project to digitize the work of patronage workers. The training process under the BetterCare project has already begun on March 1. This is the name of the project, which in English means “better care” or “better care”. Thanks to the new system, timekeeping, reporting, and schedules will be available on a smartphone, which will significantly improve work organization and increase the efficiency of service provision. The program also provides quick access to the client’s contact information: address, phone number, and a quick call function is also available: automatic dialing.

Why is this important?

The work of patronage workers requires precise planning, prompt communication and detailed accounting of the services provided. The use of paper reports and manual scheduling creates an unnecessary burden, can lead to errors and loss of important information. We also care about nature and optimize the use of paper.

The transition to a digital system will allow:

      • Optimize working hours - a clear schedule and automated time tracking will allow you to focus on the main thing - helping people.

      • Reduce administrative burden – no more need to fill out paper reports, because all data will be recorded in the system automatically.

      • Provide transparency and control – management and employees will be able to easily track completed tasks and adjust the schedule in real time.

      • Improve the quality of services - fast communication and access to up-to-date information will help provide assistance more effectively.

    How does it work?

    Each patronage worker received access to a special mobile application on smartphones, in which you can:

        • view work schedules and scheduled visits;

        • record the start and end times of the shift;

        • planned types of work that a patronage worker must perform at a specific address;

        • submit reports on the work performed;

        • receive information about the characteristics of the client's physical condition;

        • receive customer signatures upon completion of work;

        • the manager has the ability to monitor staff workload in real time, adjust changes, and ensure effective resource management;

        • Each care worker has constant access to daily reports and can monitor the number of hours worked.

      This project is an important step towards digitalizing the patronage service. We are confident that modern technologies will help make the work of patronage workers more convenient, and the help even better and more accessible to everyone who needs it.

      The application was developed by Israeli specialists and has already been implemented in several countries with the support and assistance of JDC Joint.
