The “Proskuriv Weekend” project is supported by Hillel Case.

The "Proskuriv Weekend" project has begun its activities at the Hesed Besht Charitable Foundation with the support of the Hillel Case program.
Its participants were active Jewish students, who, together with the project mentors, discovered the culture, tradition, and local history of the Jews of Podillia.

Through various art workshops, excursions, classes, trainings, and shared experiences of rituals and customs, project participants create a unique community united by values, interests, and a sense of belonging.

On March 28-29, we had our first weekend experience that exceeded our expectations. We made an interesting journey based on our roots: history, traditions and culture. Together with our youth, we celebrated Shabbat, played interesting interactive games – that’s how the first day passed. Already on Saturday, March 29, we visited our hospitable museums: Khmelnytskyi Museum-Studio of Photographic Art and Khmelnytskyi Regional Art Museum – this visit caused wild emotions and replenished the treasury of knowledge with new discoveries. The participants completed the cycle of museum trips at the Museum of Charity of our Hesed.

Next was an incredibly artistic workshop with artist Andriy Kaptar (Mykhailovych Wombat ) from T-shirt painting. Unique and truly craft products gave young people unforgettable creative experiences.

The weekend ended with the Avdala ceremony and promises to meet next month, or even earlier – for the beautiful holiday of freedom – Passover!

An interview for the TV7+ channel with OLGA NIKITINYA, public relations manager of the Hesed Besht Charity Foundation, coordinator of the Proskuriv Weekend project, is available for viewing.
