The Holocaust Memorial, which is being built with the assistance of the Hesed Besht Charitable Foundation on Silskohospodarska Street, now looks completely different than it did in late autumn. With favorable weather conditions, almost all earthwork and concrete work has been completed here, and the entrance and stele in the form of a book of mourning have already been installed. With the onset of spring, the flower beds have also acquired expressive features, dividing the strips of stones and boxwood bushes.
Today, the Foundation's employees took the time to organize a big cleaning of the memorial territory together, preparing the facility for the Victory Day. The managers were also joined by patronage workers. Let us remind you that previously groups of clients and volunteers of the Foundation devoted their time to cleaning the territory. This time, in addition to the cleaning itself, flowers were planted - lilies of the valley, daisies and other colorful plants. They were grown on her personal plot and kindly donated to decorate the Memorial by Faina Lvovna Kabatska, a victim of Nazism and a client of the Foundation.

To complete the construction, there is still not enough money or a good contractor who would carry out all the planned work. But what has already been done is impressive in its appearance. After all, this was once a cluttered and swampy area. But with the efforts and funds of members of the Jewish community and individual sponsors, a worthy memorial for the 8,200 innocent victims of the Holocaust will be here.
