The Health Center of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" always cares about the well-being of its clients. One of the tasks of the Center is to conduct preventive measures to inform people about insidious diseases that can be detected at an early stage. In March, such was the meeting with a cytologist, and in April, people were gathered for a lecture by Oksana Anatolyivna Pavlishchuk, a dermatovenereologist at Polyclinic No. 1.
A pleasant young doctor told the members of the gathering some very unpleasant things. Skin is an extremely delicate matter, to which people usually pay little attention. As long as nothing itches, peels or burns, few people look closely at their skin. And even when something like that is present – brilliant green, iodine and a carefree hope that the “sore” will go away on its own. However, such manifestations of negligence very often hide serious consequences. Neglected skin problems lead to the formation of ulcers, non-healing wounds, damage to subcutaneous tissues and organs and even oncological complications. The skin behaves especially unstable in older people, and here every pimple can turn into a very complex problem.
Oksana Anatoliivna gave a presentation with a demonstration on a wide screen of photos with examples of skin diseases. She spoke in detail about more than ten of the most common of them. The doctor's story was easy to understand and very convincing. Already during the lecture it was noticeable how those present involuntarily looked at their fingers and other areas of exposed skin. And interest in one's health is the first step to improving it.
After the lecture, in a private conversation with the doctor, the managers of the Foundation Natalia Gerasimenko, who invited her, and the head of the teenage club Vyacheslav Nagnybida reached a mutual agreement on a second visit by Oksana Anatolyivna for our clients. But this time the audience will be members of the teenage and youth clubs of the Hesed Besht Children's Charity Foundation. And they will talk about spicy problems related to the beginning of adulthood and sexual contacts. According to the doctor, there is now a terrible situation with an increase in the level of venereal diseases, so it is better to conduct preventive information work with children and adolescents as soon as possible.
