Today, the class of the teenage and youth club at the Thiya Community Center was entirely dedicated to Lag Ba-Omer. Unfortunately, you can't light a bonfire in the Community Center, and there has never been a bow and arrows here. Therefore, the class was built on the theoretical part, considering the 33rd day of the Omer countdown from different angles and learning new things using the Internet.
The quiz for children was educational in nature, containing questions of varying complexity. The initial tasks did not require special knowledge - they were already present in all pupils from an early age. But the special questions, specially composed for today, required a deep study of traditions. Therefore, the children were offered to use the Internet in the computer class to answer them. To create a favorable working environment, they were allowed to bring tea and cookies with them.
The result of the event was a deepening of the club's knowledge about Lag Ba-Omer, a better understanding of Jewish traditions. The children liked the interactive form of work, because now a large part of their education is somehow connected with the Internet. So our task is to direct them in the right direction, to teach them to find not only "jokes" and "friends" on the Internet, but also important and useful information.
