Spring has always been associated with the beautiful half of humanity and female beauty for the majority of the population of our planet. That is why this spring, activists of the World Women's Jewish Organization "Project Kesher" in Khmelnytskyi, together with the Hesed Besht Children's Charity Foundation and volunteer doctors, took care to ensure that female beauty remained intact and that springtime was not overshadowed by health problems. To World Health Day A meeting with doctors and a medical examination aimed at combating harmful diseases of women took place at the Thiya Community Center.
“Project Kesher” has repeatedly involved specialists in examining women: this is an important social component of the organization’s activities, which contributes to the development of society. The organization was also joined by a group of women who underwent mastectomy “Amazons” – members of the All-Ukrainian public organization “Together against Cancer”. It is nice that doctors are happy to respond to such initiatives of a non-governmental organization. These are the Deputy Chief Physician of the Khmelnytskyi Oncology Dispensary for Information and Analytical Work Tetyana Zakryzhevska and the well-known and respected oncologist-mammologist of the Khmelnytskyi Oncology Dispensary Harry Drobner.
Everyone was invited to the Community Center "Thia" of the Hesed Besht Charity Foundation on Kamianets-Podilskyi Street, 58/1. These were both clients and employees of the Foundation, as well as representatives of the city's public organizations and internally displaced persons from the ATO zone, with whose groups our organization works. Bringing a friend with you was almost a mandatory condition for each invitee, since the more women pay attention to their own health, the less work there will be in the future for those doctors who came today as volunteers. Unexpected guests of the event were two young ladies - heads of the city event agency "Dynasty", who came for a check-up precisely due to the proper work of "word of mouth".
At the beginning, Tetyana Zakryzhevska spoke to the audience. She updated the issue of women's health, commented on the recent incidence situation and provided general information about the work of the Oncology Clinic. According to Tetyana Ivanovna, the disease can progress most when a woman neglects her health and does not perform elementary and mandatory checks.
After that, Harry Yosypovich began an inspection of one of the rooms of the Community Center. In total, he examined 68 invited women. Unfortunately, not all of them went home relieved - the doctor sent several people for additional examination with a mammogram. However, no extremely serious problems were diagnosed, which is already good in itself.
Activists of the women's group "Project Kesher" distributed calendars with instructions for self-examination and campaign materials among those present. The joint efforts of NGOs and volunteers manage to change the terrible statistics of morbidity. However, for radical changes, such efforts are needed much more. That is why all the organizers of meetings with doctors listed above will not leave their work in the future. So that the associations between spring and femininity do not change.
