Hag Pesach Sameach! The celebration of one of the most important holidays of the Jewish calendar – Pesach – began at the Community Center “Thia”. According to tradition, the first seder began on the evening of April 10. The Community Center and all its employees worked in an intensive mode, as it was necessary to receive a large number of clients of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” and community members. The three rooms of the building were fully loaded with visitors, the seder hosts were working, and traditional products were on the tables.
This year, the formation of the holiday kiara was carried out with special attention. Some parts were even moved with a spoon after they were laid out, so that each portion was closer to the ideal. The presenters made a special effort to conduct the seder according to the holiday Haggadah.
The celebration began with a general lighting of candles in the hall of the second floor of the "Thia" shopping center. From there, people, according to age, dispersed to different rooms and the mystery of the celebration began. This part interested even the journalists of the local TV channel, so all TV viewers in the Khmelnytskyi region saw the presentation of dishes on the kiara.
Passover is a special holiday. In addition to its historical basis, it also has a deep moral meaning. The people's Exodus from Egypt and the "exit from their own Egypt" are the key themes that our presenters paid attention to. The traditional four cups and festive matzah - all this was prepared by the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" so that every Jew, regardless of wealth, would remain faithful to the traditions of his people.
There are still many days of Passover ahead. The second day will also be held at the Community Center for a different audience. On Wednesday, guests from far abroad will visit our community to join our seder. And next Passover, with faith in G-d, we plan to celebrate in Jerusalem!
