What should a health day be like?

Marc Spector talks about skin problems

Events under the general title "Health Days" have been held at the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" since its founding. However, today's circumstances dictate new conditions for us, and accordingly, the format of the events is also changing. What should a real health day be like now? The managers of our organization are trying to answer this question.

Absolutely healthy people do not exist - such a statement is absolutely justified in our time, since there are an extremely large number of negative factors that affect the human condition. This includes unfavorable ecology, poor-quality food, and a growing number of genetic disorders. However, with a careful attitude to yourself and your loved ones, the situation can be improved. Thus, the managers of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" make every effort to ensure that the health of our clients is at the appropriate level.

"Health Day" is a comprehensive set of events designed to support and improve the health of our people. On June 15, one of these "days" was held in the city of Khmelnytskyi. In the morning, participants gathered at the Thia Community Center, where dermatologist Mark Spector, who has many years of volunteer experience in our organization, was already waiting for them. He clearly told clients what dangers each of us can expect in relation to the skin - the largest in area and the most vulnerable to various factors of the human organ. The skin of older people, due to age-related characteristics, can cause many problems for its owners; at any age there is a risk of mechanical damage, which can cause neoplasms on the skin. In addition, this is a real training ground for landing armadas of parasites that do not disdain any methods of pestering their carriers. Mark Yefimovich emphasized the need to maintain hygiene and talked about the most common mistakes people make during self-examination.

Raisa Gelman, Manager of the Health Center of the Hesed Besht Charity Foundation, revealed two issues to those present: regarding the Affordable Medicines program and the features of the social card. If the second issue was equally important for all clients, then the state program concerned only those who currently have health problems. Within the framework of the program, all citizens of Ukraine can receive medicines from the list of the Ministry of Health for free or at a simplified price formula. It is impossible to study the entire list, but it is not necessary: it is available in any pharmacy or online. Raisa Izrailevna explained who, how much and how can buy affordable medicines. This is relevant in the work of the Foundation, since with the assistance of the state, clients can save money allocated to improve their health.

From theoretical knowledge, we moved on to practical improvement of vital functions. One of the best sports invented by mankind is swimming. A person who is 90% made of water always feels easy and at ease in his element. That is why, in order for our clients to feel better, those of them who are at risk and cannot afford it, visited the modern water park of our city. These were both individual clients for whom communication with other people is a joy, and representatives of several generations of one family for whom this way of recreation was previously unavailable. Two hours spent together had a positive effect on all participants of the joint swimming.

Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" always keeps up with the times, choosing new and effective forms of work with clients. Thanks to the support of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee "Joint", such work is possible and useful for people. And in the future we will make every effort to ensure that "Health Day" meets the needs of clients as much as possible and brings them diverse benefits, both informationally and physically.
