For many years, the topic of women's health was, as it were, covered with false shyness, it was not accepted to talk about it in society. Even mothers were shy to tell their daughters the truths that girls entering adult life must know.
On March 16, at the Center for Social Assistance, as part of the "Truth about Women's Health" project of the Kesher Project, with the participation of "Public Radio", a meeting of clients of the Hesed Besht CBF, public organizations, youth and students of Khmelnytskyi was held with the regional oncogynecologist Tatyana Pyatnytskaya on the topic: "Myths and facts about women's health". Even people who monitor their health and seem to know everything, learned a lot. After all, medicine does not stand still, but develops: more in-depth research is conducted, new technologies are introduced into medical practice.
In an accessible form, the doctor told about the human papilloma virus, which causes cervical cancer, about the benefits of vaccination, which protects against this insidious disease. They touched on the topic of the need for digital mammography after forty years. And the most important thing is a regular visit to the doctor, which allows you not to miss initial health problems. Prevention, to put it bluntly, is the simplest, isn't it? It is quite easy to set aside one day for such a necessary examination and live calmly until the next examination.
Psychotherapy plays an important role in cancer prevention. After all, oncology often develops against the background of stress. It is impossible to avoid being shocked, but you can deal with them realistically. Accumulating negative emotions is very harmful to health, so it is so important not to withdraw into yourself, share problems with your family and cope with difficulties together. In the end, turn to a specialist if stress threatens to turn into depression.
"My health is my responsibility" - every person should adopt such a rule and constantly monitor his health. And then our life will become full and long.
