Shabbat

Shabbat shalom!
"G-d said to Moses: there is a precious gift in My treasury, and this is the Sabbath, and I want to give it to Israel", so it is said in the Gemara, "Shabbat". 
Continuing our tradition of celebrating all Jewish holidays together, on Friday our community celebrated Shabbat cheerfully and heartily. There was everything as required by tradition: solemn lighting and blessing of candles, blessing of bread and grape drink, a delicious meal, an instructive story-maysa, Shabbat songs and even dances, because Shabbat should be spent very cheerfully. Divided joy, contrary to the laws of mathematics, does not decrease, but on the contrary, increases, so no one was bored in the hall. 
Saturday lifts us above everyday bustle. The spiritual value of this day and its special aroma extend over everyday life as well, because it is from Shabbat that our everyday life derives holiness and exaltation. But this day is not just a gift, it also imposes a certain responsibility. Therefore, the lesson (in our case in the form of a quiz with difficult questions) on the topic of kosher food was also appropriate and helped to consolidate the knowledge of our guests about this important part of the Jewish way of life.
