"Project Kesher" in Shepetivka
On June 19, another meeting (this time an away meeting) was held in Shepetivka as part of the project "The Truth About Women's Health." Women members of the Jewish community who care about their health gathered in the premises of the local synagogue.
There was a discussion about the importance of maintaining women's health, during which even those people who are interested in this topic learned a lot. Those present were very interested in getting acquainted with and analyzing methodological brochures with various recommendations on breast self-examination, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, safe sex, etc.
The most important moment of the meeting was the examination of the mammary glands, which was conducted by the head of the mammology department of the Khmelnytskyi Oncology Clinic, mammologist-oncologist Igor Drobner.
Every person feels some fear of people in white coats and does not always decide on a time for medical examinations. But in such a private setting, and even in the circle of good friends, the fear disappears. Igor Garriyovych examined 30 women that day, gave the necessary recommendations, prescribed medication to some, and sent some for a more in-depth examination to the regional oncology clinic. And this is another evidence that such meetings in close cooperation between the Kesher Project and the Hesed Besht Charity Foundation are very necessary. So - we are not stopping there and are planning such meetings in the future!
