And again Satan!
We go to Satanov with great pleasure. Not for the sake of the healing water, we are attracted by the ancient history of this town and especially – the rich Jewish heritage. At the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century, out of 4.5 thousand inhabitants of Satanov, 3 thousand (or two thirds of the inhabitants) were Jews.
Our journey took place on August 16. Clients of the Hesed Besht Foundation once again had the opportunity to visit holy places – a synagogue with a 500-year history and an ancient necropolis, the oldest in Europe after the Czech one. Such places are places of strength for every Jew. Having visited them, you are strengthened in faith, you feel the indomitability of the spirit of the people, its unity.
