We were so waiting for spring, sunshine, going out into nature or to the dacha, but we are forced to sit at home, waiting out the trouble. The Hesed Besht Charity Foundation is closed to visitors, but it is working: those who can - at home, those who do not have such an opportunity - in the offices. Since the first days of quarantine, a coronavirus countermeasures headquarters has been operating in Hesed, which has developed a clear work plan in these difficult conditions and strictly adheres to it. And so it is not only in the Khmelnytskyi region, but in all our branches: in Ternopil, Rivne and Volyn regions. Everywhere, a whole staff of patronage workers is working uninterruptedly and conscientiously.

The fund managers are in daily contact with clients by phone or exchange information with many of them on social networks. They find out their needs, problems, ask about their health, and suggest what to do in certain circumstances. Volunteer centers are always ready to deliver food, medicine, and hygiene products. Lonely elderly people who used to receive hot lunches at the Khmelnytskyi Social Assistance Center now have them delivered to their apartments.
Hesed employees haven't forgotten about the kids either - it's time to hold interesting trainings, interactive games, etc. for them.
It doesn't matter that it is impossible to hold any mass events and entertainment. Communication did not stop, employees of, say, the Rivne branch of our Hesed offered their clients mental exercises and games. By the way, our colleagues from Rivne and Volyn (from the Lutsk branch) made sure in advance that the clients had plenty of long-term food products and personal hygiene products.
