The last Sunday of October is a relatively new holiday for the country, but a joyful one - the Day of the Social Worker of Ukraine. It unites caring people of many specialties who have dedicated their lives to a good cause - helping the needy, caring for the sick, supporting those in difficulty. All employees of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" proudly bear the title of social workers. All of them are members of the relevant trade union organization. To celebrate their professional holiday, the team organized a motorcade through social institutions of Western Ukraine.
The rally was attended by employees of the Khmelnytskyi office, Slavutych representative office, Ternopil Community Center, some volunteers, as well as musicians of the Hesed Band, for whom the social sphere has become almost native. The first point of the campaign was the new Ternopil Community Center, which was put into operation this summer. The guests were impressed by the ergonomics and thematic content of the premises. Many were here for the first time, so they were filled with pleasant impressions. People who had the opportunity to see the reconstruction process proudly stated: “With joint efforts, we have created an exemplary Community Center.” After getting acquainted with the programs and events of the institution, the rally moved on.
The westernmost point was the branch of the Hesed Aryeh Foundation in the city of Drohobych - the warm house of Hesed Gur-Aryeh. This branch provides assistance to several large settlements in Western Ukraine, such as Drohobych, Truskavets, Stryi, etc. It was extremely interesting for the employees of the Hesed Besht Foundation to learn about the work of colleagues from the social sphere, exchange experiences and simply spend time in the friendly atmosphere of the local Hesed. And the city tour, which was presented to the guests, briefly but fundamentally revealed the history of Jewish culture in Drohobych. It was extremely pleasant to visit the large synagogue, which is currently under reconstruction.
At the world-famous resort in Truskavets, our people could relax, use the services of the SPA center, and most importantly, try the life-giving "Naftusi", which is able to heal the body, and a number of other mineral waters of this area. In this picturesque town, celebrations on the occasion of the holiday were also held, with congratulations to the team by the Director of the Hesed Besht Children's Charity Foundation, Honored Worker of the Social Sphere of Ukraine, Igor Ratushny.
The rally was intended to once again highlight the issues of the social sphere, the importance of high-quality and selfless work for the benefit of others, and the need for constant exchange of experience for better services and a more efficient response to people's needs. This way of celebrating a professional day is to the liking of our employees. After all, rest without benefit is just a waste of time.
