It would seem that the commandment of the Almighty, which obliges every Jew to plant his own tree in the Holy Land, is difficult for us to fulfill. But we assure you: this is not at all the case. Although we are far from our historical homeland, having our own named tree in Eretz Israel is quite possible. And for those who want to fulfill this commandment, it is enough to contact Hesed, because we have a special program. Or make an application via the Internet. It is inexpensive.
Having your own tree in Israel is a great honor. Many of our compatriots have been honored with it. The Hesed Besht Foundation has been planting personalized trees for several years. In this way, we express our gratitude to our volunteers and most active clients, as well as sponsors who help the foundation do good deeds. This work will continue.
In our photos you can see brand new certificates to members of the Jewish community that have already been planted in their honor. Almost a dozen and a half certificates have just arrived from Israel, along with a prayer for those who plant trees (as is known, Jews do everything with prayer).
It's nice to have such a document with you, and even nicer to know that your tree, by improving the ecology, brings tangible benefits to the planet.
