The date of November 14, the world day to combat this dangerous and insidious disease, is intended to remind us of the spread of the dangerous disease diabetes. Since 1991, both doctors who conduct mass preventive or diagnostic measures and patients themselves have been preparing for this date. The situation with diabetes in our country and in the city in particular is disappointing: the disease progresses and “gets younger”, and its prevention remains ineffective. Therefore, non-governmental structures and public organizations that can contribute to the spread of diabetes should actively join state programs.
Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" has always been concerned with the issue of combating diabetes. Over the years of its activity, it has managed to significantly improve the social tension of the number of clients suffering from this disease. The Foundation's Health Center conducts constant monitoring of clients with diabetes, initiates control glucometric measurements and is engaged in educational work. On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, an event was held at the Community Center "Thia" for people whose lives can be "sweet" only due to sugar substitutes.

Traditionally, in the morning, blood sugar tests were conducted using an express system, which were conducted by a volunteer of the Hesed Besht Charity Foundation, Larisa Nechyporuk. Also, a volunteer, doctor Mark Spector, gave a lecture to visitors about the dangers and the course of the conversation and answered questions on this topic. The life-saving charity for clients was the issuance of sugar substitutes, which allow patients to safely experience the taste of sweets. However, few people manage to do this to the full extent, because two thousand pills should be enough for a person for a whole year. Benefactors simply do not have enough money for a sweeter life.
Overcoming diabetes in society requires a lot of effort and money. The Hesed Besht Charity Foundation is convinced that any charitable assistance in this matter is invaluable. After all, by providing its clients with sugar substitutes, the Foundation has partially relieved the state program, which means that even more citizens who need them will be able to receive their "sweet pills."
