During the warm-up for the game “The Wind Blows..”

The Sunday meeting of the youth club was dedicated to the topic of trust. The ranks of the youth movement are constantly updated with new participants. And although the children have known each other for a long time, most of them do not communicate every day. Therefore, barriers in communication should be skillfully destroyed, uniting our participants into one well-coordinated team.

To increase the level of trust within the group, simple but effective methods were chosen. The children were asked to pair up with someone they knew the least or had not talked to for a long time. For a few minutes, the pair had to talk about random topics, such as “how was my weekend?” Then the pair was asked to choose another pair, whom they also did not know well enough. Thus, in a few minutes, the knowledge about each other and the affairs of each of the circle members was renewed.

The second stage was a task that was distinguished by an increased level of complexity. Now the children, divided into pairs, had to take turns leading each other around the room, with the leader's eyes open and the one being led closed. Moreover, the leader had to guarantee the safety of his or her charge: to make sure that he or she did not bump into other pairs, objects, or walls, and to provide moral support. After a few minutes, the participants in the process switched roles. Interestingly, most of the children liked being in the role of those being led. This indicates a high level of trust in the team.

And the last task was, indeed, a difficult and interesting spectacle. There were three categories: children blindfolded, children who were forbidden to speak but could gesture, and those who could speak but could not see people who could not see. The task was to collect objects from the floor and arrange them on a table in a certain order.

To be honest, not all adults can handle this. Our children also did not achieve the desired result the first time. And when the presenter said that the lesson was over, the children began to protest, demanding revenge. On the second attempt, things went a little better.

Now the club members are looking forward to a trip to the "School of Health" rehabilitation center at the Hesed Besht Children's Charity Foundation in the village of Pecheski. After all, a very interesting program awaits them there, which aims to make the spring holidays unforgettable.
