Where to go on a rainy day? On a picnic! The sky is raining, the thunder is rumbling, but we don't care, because it's cozy and fun on the covered glazed veranda in Hesed, in a pleasant company.
Our second picnic this summer again gathered many people. A bonfire burns, anchovies, vegetables and bread are roasted, the accordion plays, people who haven't seen each other for a while and are happy to meet, chat, tell their adventures, laugh and rejoice.
In an unobtrusive way, we talked about Jewish traditions, refreshed and consolidated our knowledge. Again, there were corns, fresh jokes, a general noisy feast. It seems like nothing special, but such a simple human society is capable of working miracles. Clients of the day care center whom we invited to the picnic said that they had a lot of fun. It is nice that our attention and participation make it possible for people not to feel isolated from the outside world, forgotten and lonely. And in this we see our main task.
