As part of World Diabetes Day, an event dedicated to this dangerous and insidious disease was held in the premises of the Podillya-Center State Educational and Research Center for Diabetes. Representatives of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Hospital, the Khmelnytskyi Basic Medical College, and the laboratory of Polyclinic No. 1 participated in it. The purpose of the event was to draw public attention to the problem of diabetes and, in addition, instant glucometry. Clients of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” through the mediation of the manager of the Center for Rehabilitation and Regional Development Alla Klopotyuk also took part in the event. In total, about a dozen of our clients came to the TV company this morning. The issue of diabetes mellitus, which is rightfully considered one of the most dangerous diseases of the 21st century, is acute, but thanks to the Fund's managers, it is under control. Glucometry tests are conducted regularly, and by volunteers. Each client with this disease is under special control. Thanks to sponsorship funds, we manage to provide such people with sugar substitutes. But a checkup is never superfluous! After all, preventing a disease is much easier than treating it later.
