On a sunny August day, the members of the Horodok Jewish community decided to hold a meeting of the "Warm House" program in nature. And what could be more suitable for this than the rich nature and deep heritage of the territory around Satanov? Such an outing is interesting and useful for people of all ages, so young members of the community went on the journey with us.
The question of transport was solved in a Jewish way: everyone gathered for gasoline, and two cars were already found. Our main goal in the ancient town of Satanov was to visit the restored synagogue and travel to Jewish places. The synagogue amazed everyone with its beauty and grandeur. I, as the Chairman of the community, told those present about the history of the construction of the temple in that far fifty years ago. And the current head of construction, Stanislav Shevchuk, told us about its reconstruction a few years ago.
All people noted the wonderful aura of the room, which was calm and cozy. We also visited the mikvah.
Our further path led to the Jewish cemetery. As tradition dictates, we visited the graves of the tzaddiks, spent some time in meditation and prayer. In particular, my husband, Ilya Abramovych Berkovych, a volunteer of the Hesed Besht Children's Fund, was engaged in the restoration of these shrines.
The next point of our group's journey was the foot of the memorial stone in honor of the defenders of Satanov. And then - we walked in the resort area, drank healing mineral water and got better.
The forest glade helped us relax from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend time in the bosom of nature. Here we had a great time and sated our hunger. Our men made a fire. We fried potatoes, chicken wings, and beef kebabs.
Everyone was very satisfied with the trip. For a while, they forgot about their problems and returned home with great enthusiasm.
