Participants of the field meeting at the “School of Health”

Clients of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht", who receive the innovative service "Intellectual Patronage", had a wonderful opportunity to get together, and in a pleasant place - the Rehabilitation Center "School of Health" in the village of Pecheski. The reason for the meeting was an off-site meeting of the club, which was organized by the manager of social rehabilitation Alla Klopotyuk, and conducted by the club curator Oleksandra Baeva.

The meeting at the "School of Health" was dedicated to the topic "My Family and May 9th". A total of 28 of our clients who are in the risk group of the "Home Care" program participated in the event. The topic was chosen very aptly. After all, each of the participants had something to say - the war touched almost every family in our territory.

People brought with them photos of their heroic ancestors, records or notes of their combat days. In the circle, clients shared their stories, among which were tragic, tearful, sad, - but all of them, without exception, are everyday. Client Beata Krishtun told about her cousin - Hero of the Soviet Union Volodymyr Vayser. Client Oleksandr Khyenvin also raised the topic of his relative's heroism, which, unfortunately, remained hidden in history. It was about the feat of fighter pilot Isaak Prysayzin. Oleksandra Baeva told those present about the feat of our compatriot, a native of Slavutych, Hero of the Soviet Union Lazar Papernyk. Alla Klopotyuk quoted an excerpt from Ye. Yevtushenko's poem "Babi Yar" (See the full text of the poem at this link).

Alone with the wonderful nature, thoughts and conversations flowed in a calm, measured way. After a general circle and rest, the clients united in mini-groups, where conversations on the topic of war continued. In memory of the victims of the Holocaust, the participants of the gathering lit six candles, as six million innocently murdered souls.
