With this kind and sincere Jewish greeting, the writer Sholom Nohumovich Rabinovich has been entering people's homes for many decades. He did not choose this pseudonym by chance, because goodness and mercy, combined in these words, warm the human soul. It is about goodness and mercy - eternal values that are needed in every home - that the works of Sholom Aleichem tell: - "The Boy Motl", "Tevye the Milkman", "Song of Songs", "Wandering Stars" and others.
On May 17, the Starokostyantynivka representative office of "Hesed Besht" held an event dedicated to honoring the memory of the outstanding Jewish writer Sholem Aleichem on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his death. The event was attended by clients of the foundation. The participants of the meeting were acquainted with the biography of the writer, watched a video about his work and actively participated in an open reading of the work "The Boy Motl".
Everyone was able to see and feel that Sholem Aleichem's work is diverse and multifaceted. Each generation perceives his heroes in its own way and draws its own conclusions. Therefore, the writer's works give impetus to their own creative searches, because "everyone goes for the treasures of culture on their own and takes as much as they can take."
