Youth “rebranding”

IMG_20140209_152732"Are you young? Do you want to develop, make new friends or have a good time with the ones you already have? Are you interested in Judaism, traditions, holidays or modern life in Israel? Then you should come to us!" This is the leitmotif present in the activities of the modern teenage and youth club at the Hesed Besht Foundation. This winter, changes took place here, which we all proudly call "rebranding". This is due to the Foundation's dynamic social policy, aimed at meeting the needs of each client.

But let's not take into account complex social terms. On the contrary, the club members are not interested in them: children do not particularly want to know why the club works, but rather that it meets more often. The age category that this community program is currently aimed at is 10-15 years old. And although some teachers say that these age categories have a difference, at the club level it is not very noticeable. The children have known each other since childhood, so they have common interests, there is no barrier to communication. In addition, the club program is so adapted that it is equally interesting for all age categories, based on Israeli methods, carefully considered to the smallest detail by the Joint specialists.

At each gathering, children consider topics that develop them as individuals, get acquainted with the traditions and customs of the Jewish people. Fortunately, the Jewish calendar is rich in holidays, preparation for which is included in the developmental program. And at a time when the holiday is still far away, children learn leadership, public speaking, needlework, teamwork, play sports, dance and even develop computer games.

Great hopes are placed on the current "change" of the youth club. An even younger generation is already stepping on the not-quite-grown heels of the young members of the community. Therefore, today's club members are being trained at the "School of Madrichs" so that in a few years they themselves can take the helm of the youth club. New Madrichs are a strategic task for the managers of the Hesed Besht Youth Foundation. The updated program of classes will take root in the youth clubs of Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Kamianets-Podilskyi and Starokostyantyniv.

At the moment, the only question left is the name of the club. But the right to choose a worthy name for their community is granted exclusively to its young members.
