An exhibition of author's works opened in the city's history museum.faceOho our friend, Hesed volunteer, talented photographer Leonid Zapadenko. This is a great opportunity to conduct several interesting excursions for our clients, because a significant part of the exhibition highlights the life of the Jewish community of the city. Yesterday, the first trip to the museum took place. The author personally led us on a tour and told us about his life. He showed us his first camera «FED 2" and his first photographic works. Yakiv Gorbaty recognized the house in which he was born and raised in one of the photos. We also saw a large choral synagogue, which has long been gone.
The exhibition hall had an extraordinary atmosphere that transported the participant to the past. Everyone felt pleasant memories associated with one or another building. Also, through fascinating stories, we were all able to travel back in our imagination and "quench our thirst with sparkling water with double syrup", as well as "taste a delicious liver pie for 4 kopecks".
The exhibition did not disappoint. Although our city is changing, developing, and becoming more beautiful, visitors linger for a long time and nostalgically look at the photographs that capture buildings and corners of the city that no longer exist.
