Victory Day in the war with Nazi Germany is a truly great holiday. The Red Army crushed the fascist monster, and the world breathed a sigh of relief. To ensure that something like this never happens again, we must learn the lessons of World War II. And the main one is that human life has the highest value, no one has the right to encroach on it!
Every year, employees of the Hesed Besht Charitable Foundation, together with veterans and youth of the Jewish community and the caring public of the region, hold rallies at memorials and near monuments to victims of Nazism, laying flowers, pebbles and lamps, telling about the enormous contribution that Jews made to the approaching victory. This year, quarantine deprived us of the opportunity to meet and honor people beaten by the war, to pay due respects to the fallen.
Instead, the Hesed staff and our volunteers created a small requiem film. It is not an Oscar contender. We made it as our caring hearts told us.
