At the end of March, Khmelnytskyi resident Z. A. Yelevych, a veteran of World War II, celebrated his 99th spring. Unfortunately, not a peaceful one. In the forties of the last century, the young soldier Zelman fought against the German fascists side by side with the Russians. And now the best sons and daughters of Ukraine are defending their land from Russian fascism. Such is the irony of fate.
Most recently, the veteran received a commemorative medal from Jerusalem and a certificate of honor from Israeli Interior Minister Benjamin Gantz for liberating his homeland from the brown plague.
Zelman Abramovich is very worried about Ukraine – a flourishing, beautiful, peaceful and hardworking country. The veteran knows well what war is. It brings misfortune, blood, mutilation, suffering, destruction and devastation, breaks human destinies. What does the enemy free Ukraine from? From their homes, from a prosperous happy life, from peace, from the opportunity to build their native state and raise children in peace. May such, if I may say so, “Russian soldier-liberator” be cursed… Due to his advanced years, Zelman Abramovich cannot fight, but he believes that the young patriots of Ukraine will destroy racism, free the land from this evil and rebuild the state.
Volunteers of the Hesed Besht Children's Charity Foundation sincerely congratulated the birthday boy on his birthday, wishing him long life and the speedy arrival of peace.
