Repair is always a long, costly, and sometimes exhausting process. Many people hesitate to start it for a long time, and once they start, they worry about its quick completion. And while wealthy people can afford outside help, most of our clients are unable to carry out repairs on their own, let alone spend money on the help of specialists. Meanwhile, the housing conditions of clients are sometimes truly terrible. This year, the most needy clients of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” received special services with the charitable assistance of the British organization “A Jewish Lifeline Worldwide” (“WJR”) with the personal support of Kateryna Mityaeva. Here are some stories of clients whose repairs have already been completed.
Apartment repairs took place throughout the territory where the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” operates. Client selection was carried out extremely carefully so that the service was really urgently needed. After all, many program participants had not had any repair and restoration work done for more than ten years! Before involving people in the program, visits were made to their homes by Social Services Manager Viktor Kravchenko. He also supervised the work, selected contractors, monitored purchased materials, and so on. But for clients, Viktor became the person who brought light, comfort, and warmth to their homes, relieving them of long-standing household problems. No one can tell this better than them:

It's nice that some clients, while receiving charitable assistance, tried to take care of other people, as the following heroine did:

Of course, not all problems were solved, but the clients' homes became really cozy and tidy. And without the help of “WJR”, people could not have expected such improvements in a difficult time for the country. Therefore, all participants of the program express their sincere gratitude to the benefactors for the warmth they brought to their homes.
