Shabbaton
On August 9-10, clients of the "Hesed Besht" fund from small regions came to us for a shabbaton. The program was very rich and interesting. After staying in cozy hotel rooms, the participants of the Shabbat went on a tour of "Proskurov Yevresky". During a coffee break on Hesed's summer veranda, they got to know each other and became friends. Then we celebrated Shabbat together happily, with songs and festive food. During his time, they not only celebrated the arrival of Tsaritsa-Sabbath, but also learned: they answered numerous questions on the topic of Jewish tradition (in the form of a quiz). And they listened with interest to Jewish songs performed by Kira Nanba and Anatoliy Muzyka.
The next day was also full of interesting events. We organized the lecture "Israel is our country" with a story about Israel and the showing of video films. Since many of the participants have visited Israel, they also shared their impressions of the places they visited.
Next was a creative master class. Our guests created paintings using the "torn appliqué" technique. This process really captivated both children and adults, so the paintings turned out - at least for the exhibition.
After a delicious lunch, the Shabbat participants thanked the Hesed workers for the events and the warm welcome, said goodbye and left. And we would like to hope that the Shabbaton was really interesting and useful for them, that many of them found friends and will continue to communicate in social networks.
