This is what the participants of the regional trip told its organizers. And we were pleased to hear words of gratitude. The program of the trip was, as always, interesting and eventful. On the first day, the participants of the event got acquainted with Hesed and its programs, got to know each other, took part in a conversation about charity and in a fun competition of wits.
And then there was a solemn Shabbat meeting. Everything was as usual: with observance of traditions, with an exquisite meal, Shabbat songs, a cheerful round dance, with maces. And with a quiz, this time about Jewish shrines. I must say, the quiz participants have good knowledge of Jewish traditions and answered almost all the questions correctly, even very difficult ones.
We spent the second day at the Yagoda-Malyna recreation center in the village of Golovchyntsi and fully enjoyed all the benefits that this institution could offer us. We sunbathed, wandered around the several-hectare territory of the base and admired the carefully executed landscape design (the base is located in the forest), open-air museums and corners where a fairy tale comes to life, and had lunch together. And in the evening we went on an excursion to Medzhybozh - to the land of the righteous Baal Shem Tov (Besht). We saw how visiting Hasidic Jews celebrate Shabbat, even talked with them, listened to an interesting story about the founder of Hasidism Besht and about Jewish Medzhybozh, and according to tradition - left notes with requests to the Almighty. In the evening there was an avdala, a farewell ceremony with the Queen of Saturday.
And Sunday we spent on the Southern Bug River: we rode catamarans, looked at the picturesque shores and other beauties of our city, enjoyed a walk, and relaxed. After a delicious lunch and a fitback, we went home. We had a lot of positive impressions – for the whole year!
