The Sunday School of the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation “Hesed Besht” organized a real fun New Year of Trees for the kids. The theatrical performance, which took place instead of the usual Sunday school lesson, was liked by both the little students and their parents. While acting out the scene, the employees of the “Thia” Community Center also told the children the history and traditions of the holiday.
"We wrote the script for the event ourselves, and collected the props outside," comments Vlada Pylypchuk-Kats, the head of the visual arts studio. "The role of the main villain - the evil Repyakh - was played by a real actor from the "Mirror of the Universe" theater (formerly "Raidle"). And although children know Dmytro Kornitsky and are not afraid of him, in the role he was even a very believable criminal!"
During the performance, the children were told about the main postulates of the holiday Tu B'Shevat. One by one, the traditional and revered plants of this holiday were freed from the hands of the Burdock: wheat, grapes, and others. The children were helped to understand all the wisdom of the tradition by the kind Gardener, in the world the manager of cultural, mass and community work Liza Biletska, who held contests, games, and quizzes for this purpose.
As a result, both children and adults were satisfied and cheerful. Interactive forms of work, according to the director of the Hesed Besht Children's Charity Foundation, Igor Ratushny, significantly improve the process of raising children in the right direction. Therefore, our organization tries to fully utilize the potential of each employee for the better development of the Jewish community.
