The harsh everyday life of war forces us to work in extreme conditions. If someone had told us that we would have to accept internally displaced persons from the war zone, we would not have believed it. No one expected this. But life has set such a task - Hesed solves it.
Although the rocket attacks did not bypass the Khmelnytskyi region, the situation here cannot be compared to what is happening in the Kharkiv or Chernihiv regions (I would not be embarrassed). This is the kind of "bedroom" we have arranged so that our guests can sleep peacefully and rest their tired feet.
And the other day we cooked borscht for our single clients. This is a familiar thing for us, we often cook dinners in our kitchen and bake goodies to please our clients with home-cooked meals. And now – also refugees…
Our volunteers also join in the efforts of Hesed. One of them, Tetyana Denega, knitted these patriotic hearts, and each of our employees proudly wears them on their clothes. Tanya also knitted many warm socks and gave them to the soldiers at the front.
All regional offices of Hesed continue to distribute food packages and medicines. And these days they have started distributing matzah, because Pesach will be in two weeks. Volunteers and Hesed employees deliver it to their homes for clients with limited mobility. The Jewish people's liberation from slavery was a miracle. And I really want to hope that on this greatest Jewish holiday, the Lord will perform new miracles: the enemy army will be defeated, and the Ukrainian land will be liberated from the pagan horde! Let's pray for this!
