This region is developing extremely rapidly, many social technologies are being implemented here, so the topic of palliative care also aroused lively interest in society. Presentations of various projects are often held here, so the presentation venue is well known to Kamianets-Podilskyi residents. As always, representatives of the public, people involved in palliative care and people who are in dire need of it were invited to the round table. The head of the Representative Office, Margarita Shopnik, welcomed all the guests. In her practice, there are a large number of cases of palliative care for clients of the Foundation and ordinary people who are in dire need of care, advice or support. It is especially pleasant that today there were young people in white coats in the hall - representatives of medical schools, for whom this topic is a cornerstone in their future profession.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7186 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3936-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3936-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3936-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3936-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>After the presentation of the project goal by the head Lyudmila Shvartsman, the floor was given to a specially invited guest - the Head of the public organization of the Association of Family Medicine Doctors, deputy of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council Shukhanov Mykola Makarovych. Like no one else, he knows about the peculiarities of the development of palliative care in the region and the country as a whole. His organization also has a successful project in conjunction with the International Renaissance Foundation and many years of monitoring of the situation with the development of this topic. Mykola Makarovych thoroughly introduced those present to the state of affairs with palliative medicine and care in modern Ukraine, listed the institutions for training specialists and specific steps that were taken during the Independence period. The specialist&#039;s speech caused a lively discussion among the audience, had a large number of questions and clarifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7187 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3920-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3920-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3920-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/hesedbesht.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_3920-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The project team clearly performed its functions. Lyudmila Novitska spoke about the legal aspects of palliative care, and Raisa Gelman - about the historical development and cultural roots of this concept among different peoples. The story of Victoria Polisyuk aroused genuine sympathy among the listeners and admiration for the resilience of a disabled girl. The video prepared by the project team was a good illustration of the topic. Most students, who are fluent in modern media technologies, expressed a desire to watch the film &quot;Oscar and the Lady in Pink&quot; in its entirety in their free time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Wednesday, October 11, the regional center will summarize the results of the &quot;Protect Life&quot; project. And although time passed unnoticed for its organizers, it was a very productive and useful period for the project
