On the evening of December 13, the “Podilska Rodyna” – a gathering of representatives of the national communities of our region – met again at the Khmelnytsky Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Culture and Arts. The Jewish community was represented by the Director of the Hesed Besht Jewish Community Foundation, Ihor Ratushny, the head of the ensemble, Anatoliy Muzyka, and the employees of our organization. There were also representatives of the Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, and Hungarian communities.
Traditionally, communities presented amateur performances, shared the features of national traditions and recipes. The holiday opened with a bright choreographic composition performed by the exemplary dance ensemble “Vesnyanka” of Khmelnytskyi Secondary School No. 24 under the direction of Valentina Mandzii. All guests and participants of the holiday were congratulated with carols and schedrivka by the pupils of the exemplary children's folklore collective “Berehynia” of Khmelnytskyi Secondary School under the direction of Ulyana Prokopyshyna. Anatoliy Muzyka performed several Jewish compositions using “backing tracks”. But seeing a piano on the stage, the ensemble leader impromptu presented everyone present with a couple more compositions accompanied by a keyboard instrument.
The traditional feast, which takes place after the official part, was not complete without Jewish delicacies, personally prepared by the Public Relations Manager of the Hesed Besht Charitable Foundation, Lyudmila Shvartsman.
