News from the “front line”

For those who have not seen the building of the future Center for Rehabilitation and Regional Development at 40/2 Shevchenko Street for a long time, this post will be quite interesting. For those who have never seen it with their own eyes, too, but even local people cannot help but be surprised by the change in the appearance of this place. Instead of a one-story house, a two-story new building is already rising here, and installation work is underway to erect a metal roof. But, still, it is better to see once than hear many times.

So you can wander around the new building, but only when there is no work in progress – this is a safety condition. Even at first glance, it is noticeable how much more space has been added inside and what the center will become in the future. The hall, corridors, places for toilets, future staff offices, the dining room – all this is already visible not only on the drawings, but also in person! A roof made of reinforcement has already been welded over the main entrance. For the first time in the history of this summer house, stairs have appeared to the second floor and to the “dungeon” – storage rooms, where a special hole has been made for loading and unloading various things.

On the second floor, everything is just beginning. Slowly and very responsibly, workers are installing an iron profile – the basis of the future roof. Soon, a large assembly hall will be built here, where the community will gather, Hanukkah will be lit, and concerts will take place. But for now, walking here is not the best way to spend time: in addition to safety rules, you should also respect the work of the builders and not disturb them just like that.

While work is in full swing above, things are already being put in order below. The building's blind areas are almost ready, and like the walkways, they are being tiled.

Unfortunately, despite the optimistic appearance of the construction site, there is a catastrophic lack of funds for the work. It is quite possible that soon this place will turn into a deserted long-term construction site, since the community is not able to complete the construction on its own. Third-party help in this process is the only possible way out. So remember this, share news from our construction on the Internet. The world is not without good people and we sincerely believe that caring patrons will still be found.
