The lecture “Strong as Death, Love…”, held for teenagers of the Youth Club of the Hebrew Bible Foundation “Hesed Besht”, has just ended (17:45). It examined the issues of interpreting love based on Jewish texts, quotes from the Torah, and the thoughts of our sages. Despite the piquancy of the topic, the teenagers gained a lot of useful knowledge and were not shy about asking the questions that really confuse them at a young age. The task of the madrichs was not only to convey information, but also to direct teenagers in the right direction, to protect them from mistakes that can negatively affect their entire future life. The main emphasis was placed on mutual feelings and the importance of the institution of the family, in contrast to which chaotic sexual life, the danger of bad habits, and frivolity were exposed. Based on the results of the evening, we can state that the hopes for the absence of such problems and the prudence of our youth are quite high, which means that the future is in safe hands. Therefore, with a clear conscience, we wish everyone Shabbat Shalom!
