Khmelnytskyi representative office of the VZHEO "Kesher Project” in partnership with the Khmelnytskyi Family Planning Center held a lecture for students of the Khmelnytskyi Institute of Social Technologies of the Higher School of Medicine “Ukraine” on the topic of women's health. In addition to theoretical knowledge in the field of women's health, participants of the meeting had the opportunity to receive individual kits for gynecological examination from the “Kesher Project”, which can be used personally or given to other women. This is not the first joint action for students, but this time it had a special social content.
At the Khmelnytsky Institute of Social Technologies, there is a good tradition of holding the beauty and femininity contest “Miss HIST” every spring. This year, the holiday falls on March 29. The girls who took part in the event at the Family Planning Center - future participants - will compete for the title of “Miss HIST 2017”, or members of the participating teams. Therefore, the action was in the nature of promoting care for one's own health among the active student population. After all, if the future beauties-participants take care of their own health, then most other students should also take this fact into account and take care of their own!
The main speaker was the Chief Physician of the Family Planning Center, a doctor of the highest category obstetrician-gynecologist Olga Pukhlyakova. Thanks to her talent as a convincing speaker, a specific but accessible manner of communication, it was possible to achieve concentration of attention, but at the same time, a feeling of ease. The girls were not supposed to feel like they were at another lecture, but to see that the doctor, first of all, is a friend and advisor. Olga Alekseevna did everything possible to make it happen. For illustrative examples, she used various means, in particular a plastic human embryo. This gave an opportunity to think about the issues of both motherhood and unwanted pregnancy. Each participant also received condoms, because according to the doctor: “It is better to always have such a “thing” nearby.”
