Jews were for many years, not by their own will, cut off from the great spiritual heritage of their ancestors. Therefore, one can understand their desire for the unquenchable light of the Torah. In response to the wishes of our clients, a few years ago we founded the Midrash Cafe club in Hesed. Its members gather every Sunday to understand the great wisdom contained in every word of the Torah and our holy teachers.
Recently, a great friend of our Hesed, MP, President of the All-Ukrainian Jewish Congress Vadim Rabinovych, presented us with about two dozen books of Devarim (commentaries on the weekly Torah chapters), the publication of which he financed. We gratefully accepted the expensive gift and, in turn, presented it to each participant of the Midrash Cafe.
The Torah is a window. Through it we can see the One who gave it to the Jewish people. May the Torah accompany our people throughout their lives!
