Every year, Hesed implements a number of interesting programs. The “Let’s Connect!” project is one of the most successful. More than 100 people of golden age (67+) in all regional offices of the Hesed Besht Foundation became its participants. With the assistance of the Joint, they received free smartphones and underwent training. And now they are happy to connect twice a week according to their schedules and listen to online programs on a wide variety of topics.
What did it give? We reached, without pathos, every person. We are especially happy for those who, due to their limitations due to illness, have not left their homes for many years. Now they have many friends, communicate with them, share culinary recipes and hobbies, and have forgotten that until recently they felt lonely.
And how many new and interesting things they learned! We seriously prepare for such meetings, look for interesting topics, various activities. And a smartphone with unlimited Internet gives us many opportunities to "see" the world, expand our horizons of knowledge, watch a series or some interesting program.
We receive gratitude from project participants both verbally and in letters. And we are pleased: we work for a reason!
